  • How do I place an order online?

    Using the currency converter: To place an order on Travelex.com.au use the currency converter tool located at the side of the home page. Simply select the currency type, the amount you need, the product and click ‘Buy Cash’ or 'Buy Travelex Money Card' to enter into the checkout.

  • How do I get my order quicker?

    There are a couple of alternatives to get your order quicker:

    1. Choose to pay by Card, the payment processing is quicker when paying by card.
    2. Sometimes collecting your order at Australia Post is quicker, select a suitable Australia Post store.

  • Can I specify the currency denominations I would like in my order?

    Unfortunately you are unable to specify denominations as part of your order. Orders are typically packed as mixed, which means that you will receive a mixture of high and low denominations dependent on the availability of the currency you are ordering.

  • Are there restrictions on the amount of currency I can bring into a country?

    Some countries impose restrictions on the import/export of local and foreign currencies. You should seek advice from an official government website for the country you may be visiting before placing your order.

  • How long can I place an order in advance of collection?

  • How much foreign currency can I purchase?

    The order limits for all online orders are as follows:

    (a) Online Foreign Currency:

    • from $350 to $5,000 per single order;
    • to a maximum of $5,000 in aggregate for orders within 24hrs; and
    • to a maximum of $20,000 in aggregate for orders within 21 days;

    (b) Travelex Money Cards:

    • from $350 to $5,000 per single order;
    • to a maximum of $5,000 in aggregate for orders within 24hrs; and
    • to a maximum of $20,000 in aggregate for orders within 21 days;

    (c) Combined Online Foreign Currency and Travelex Money Card:

    • from $350 per order (with a minimum of $50 for Travelex Money Card) to
    • $5,000 per order;
    • to a maximum of $5,000 in aggregate for orders within 24hrs; and
    • to a maximum of $20,000 in aggregate for orders within 21 days;

    (d) Travelex Money Card top-up:

    • from $50 to $10,050 per single top-up;
    • to a maximum of $10,050 per top-up within 24hrs; and
    • to a maximum of $20,000 top-up within 21 days.

    (e) Cash Collection at ATM:

    • minimum AU$250 equivalent in single order;
    • maximum of USD500 or EUR500 in aggregate for orders within 24hrs; and
    • maximum of $2,000 equivalent in aggregate for orders within 21 days

    The limits set out above apply to online orders

    Currency or Travelex Money Card via the Website or Travel Money App and may be different to the limits imposed when purchasing foreign currency or a Travelex Money Card in a store. These limits are subject to change from time to time at Travelex’s sole discretion.
